Supporting our dedicated expansion into the Melbourne market, Sustainability House has recently purchased a new office space within the Victoria Harbour precinct of Docklands. Victoria Harbour has the highest concentration of Green Star buildings in the country, and our new office located at Suite 4.04, 838 Collins Street – the Lifestyle Working Collins Street building – is no exception. The building has achieved a 5 star Green Star (Office Design v3),
The building has a 45,000 litre rainwater storage tank for toilet flushing and irrigation for internal planting such as deciduous vines planted on trellises in central open to sky atrium.
The building has shared meeting rooms, break-out spaces, high-end voice and data networks and a raft of sustainability features. Our Melbourne staff enjoy good access to natural light and ventilation, passive solar design with north facing double height windows and access to shared electric scooters for city trips. Our new office location will provide better access for visitors and employees with tram stop to door step and bicycle networks.
Our office even owns its own strata titled solar system supplying clean green energy, reducing the environmental impact of the office and helping to make us grid independent during daylight hours.
